About Phil Benson Productions

Phil Benson Productions was started in October 2010 with the intent of producing high quality video editing and effects as well as 3D Models and animations for local businesses. After putting together a couple different websites for promoting our business, including an all Flash animation website, we found there wasn’t much of a demand for these types of services. Nobody was really doing these things, especially as a start-up company freelancing. So we decided to make some changes and invest our time and skills into web design and development, graphic design, logo design and search engine optimization. Isn’t wasn’t long after business started coming in. We knew then we found a niche that we could earn money and help our local community. 

We ran Phil Benson Productions for about 2 years online and built up a small clientelle. It was just the start of becoming a freelancer full-time. 

After some thought about our name Phil Benson Productions we decided to rename our company to Design X Marketing. The purpose was to give our potential clients a better understanding of who we were as a company and what we did. Design and marketing is what we could do to earn money, work with great people and grow our business. The “X” was just a representation of the unknown and new beginnings with future clients and their businesses. Plus our business was slowly expanding and we needed to hire companies to do some of our online marketing work at that time so it wasn’t just Phil Benson doing all the work.
